Who we are . . .

Project ReNeWal is a state-licensed temporary emergency shelter for individuals and their children who are victims of domestic violence.  Open 365 days a year and staffed around the clock, we have the capacity to house a total of 12 people.  A 24-hour crisis line is also available to individuals in need of shelter or information regarding abuse.  Project ReNeWal officially opened its doors on November 13, 1995.

What we do . . .

We provide victims with information, resources, and the support necessary to make the difficult transition out of a violent situation into independent living.  By empowering victims to make decisions and choices regarding their futures, we are in essence, helping them to help themselves.

Who we service . . .

Although our primary service area is Rockdale, Newton, and Walton counties, Project ReNeWal works with all victims of domestic violence regardless of the county or state of residency.

What we charge . . .

Absolutely nothing!  Individuals who enter the shelter are provided with safe lodging, food, and clothing if needed.  In addition, residents will receive individual and group support, legal and court advocacy, and assistance with job referrals and future housing.  Community presentations and training are also available upon request.  There is never a charge for these services.

Our beliefs . . .
